• Any person taking driving tuition must be in possession of a valid
driving licence appropriate for the type of course they are booking and meet
the DVLA and DSA medical and eyesight requirements.
• All business shall be conducted by adhering to the DSA / ADI Voluntary Code
of Practice, a copy of which shall be supplied to all prospective trainees.
• All fees include insurance cover whilst any person is driving the training
vehicle providing they are properly licensed to drive and are accompanied
or under direction of the instructor or on a practical driving test accompanied
by a DSA examiner.
• The instructor retains the right to refuse or terminate lessons should he
feel it necessary due to an individuals conduct, if a person is perceived
to be unfit to drive through ill health, under the influence of drugs (prescribed
or illegal) or alcohol.
• The instructor will make his services as an instructor available to the
pupil for the sole purpose of giving the pupil driving tuition at the rate
per lesson for time period as agreed.
• Individual or blocks of lessons are payable in FULL on or before the first
lesson.
• All lesson fees are payable by cash or cheque.
• All training will be carried out on a one to one basis. A record of progress
will be kept by the instructor.
• Lessons shall be for a minimum of 1 hour duration. If for any reason the
instructor is delayed he will make a concerted effort to inform the pupil
of his estimated time of arrival. Should the delay be greater than 15 minutes
this time will be adjusted by holding to credit or extending the next suitable
lesson, this will be made at the instructors’ discretion.
• If a trainee requires the use of a training vehicle to carry out the practical
test a 3 hour lesson must be booked to allow for the test itself and a warm
up period. During the warm up session both the pupil and the instructor will
check that all bulbs required for the 'Show me tell me' questions are working
correctly. Should a bulb blow on the test every endeavour will be made by
the instructor to replace the bulb in good time, in the event of replacement
being unsuccessful the school will not be held liable for any test fees lost
as a result.
• If on the day of your test is cancelled by the DSA due to bad weather sickness
or staff shortages the school will charge for test time.
• Training fees may be increased at our discretion. Existing clients will
be notified 30 days in advance of any change in tuition rates.
• In the event of cancellation by the pupil at least 24 hours notice should
be given, failure to do so may result in the lesson being charged at the full
rate. Notification must be via personal telephone call or recorded telephone
message to the instructor direct or registered office.
• In the case of the instructor needing to postpone or reschedule a lesson
the required 24 hours notice will be given to the trainee.
• In the event that the instructor is unable to meet a specific appointment
due to mechanical breakdown or other cause, the instructor reserves the right
to re-arrange the lesson to a time convenient to both parties.
• Pinnacle Driver Training reserves the right to change the above Terms and
Conditions at short notice. Existing trainees will be informed verbally of
any changes made.
